Thermal

In the face of climate change and increasing energy demands from data centers, cooling systems remain one of the highest sources of energy consumption. We are revolutionizing data center cooling by applying synthetic biology to immersion cooling systems. Our approach uses bioengineered microorganisms to absorb, convert, and repurpose thermal energy emitted by GPUs and large-scale computational processes, offering a sustainable alternative to traditional cooling methods.

We are developing immersion cooling systems utilizing genetically modified bacteria, archaea, and other biological systems, capable of operating in extreme temperatures. These organisms are being engineered to absorb heat from data centers and convert it into usable chemical or electrical energy, contributing to overall system efficiency and reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
